Job Summary

Full-time academic role responsible for delivering Research Methods teaching across postgraduate Fashion Business programmes, supporting dissertation supervision, and contributing to Fashion Business subjects such as luxury, branding, marketing and strategy. The role ensures high-quality teaching, academic consistency, and strong student outcomes across multiple cohorts.

Key Purpose of the Role

  • Deliver engaging Research Methods teaching across postgraduate Fashion Business programmes
  • Support students in developing research proposals, methodology, and academic writing
  • Supervise postgraduate dissertations and independent research projects
  • Teach across Fashion Business subjects, including luxury, branding, marketing and strategy
  • Assess student work and provide clear, constructive academic feedback
  • Contribute to curriculum development and high-quality teaching materials
  • Provide academic support and guidance to a diverse postgraduate student cohort
  • Ensure continuity of teaching by supporting delivery across modules and cohorts
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and professionally engaging learning environment

Education and Desirable Skills

Essential

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Fashion Business, Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Strong experience teaching Research Methods in higher education
  • Knowledge of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research
  • Experience supporting dissertations or major research projects
  • Ability to teach academic writing, research design, and critical analysis
  • Understanding of Fashion Business (luxury, branding, marketing, strategy)
  • Strong communication, organisation, and student engagement skills
