Job Opportunity: Consulting Executive Producer for Premium Unscripted Comedy Format

Our production team is currently finalising a premium broadcaster pitch deck for an ambitious, multi-platform unscripted comedy format. The project is structured specifically as a co-commission model featuring a unique split-commercial architecture across linear TV, VOD, and YouTube commerce. The production model is fully optimised for Out-of-London regional spend requirements (North West).

We are looking to partner with an experienced Development Consultant or Former Commissioner on a consulting basis to review our deck and packaging strategy before we submit it.

The Brief

  • Audit our format structure, commercial split strategy, and talent packaging.
  • Ensure the tone, terminology, and layout align perfectly with current UK unscripted commissioning priorities.
  • Provide blunt, actionable feedback to make the deck entirely "buyer-ready."

The Deal Structure

This is a contingent attachment opportunity. In exchange for your strategic review and guidance, you will be formally attached to the pitch deck as a Consulting Executive Producer, with a competitive per-episode executive fee structured directly into the production budget upon a successful greenlight.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who You Are

  • A former network Commissioner, Head of Development, or Senior Development Executive with a proven track record in UK unscripted comedy, entertainment, or factual entertainment.
  • You genuinely appreciate the warmth and community spirit of classic British factual formats to bring into a YouTube format. You get excited by unique, grassroots human stories.
  • You are down-to-earth, approachable, and love working dynamically with lean, agile creative teams. You don't just point out flaws, but enjoy brainstorming the solutions.
  • Bring constructive candour. We value honest, direct feedback delivered with mutual respect and a shared goal of winning the commission.

About the Team

  • A current on-screen presenter and reporter for flagship STV current affairs programming (and two-time RTS Young Journalist of the Year nominee), acting as Research Producer.
  • An established indie production company with a track record of handling high-end commercial delivery and corporate pipelines across the UK.
