At Asda, we want you to Find Your Everything and as our Twilight Manager, you will manage and lead a critical shift transitioning from day to night, ensuring we deliver the best availability and highest shop floor standards across all departments while keeping our store safe and legal for both customers and colleagues.

As part of the leadership team, you will:

  • Work a 5 shifts over 7 pattern, including weekends.
  • Oversee the transition period with a focus on trading activity, standards, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Need to Deliver

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategy into action:
    • Plan and execute key trading activity, availability standards, KPIs, and Key Result Areas (KRAs) through routine processes.
    • Ensure operational efficiency during the twilight shift.
  • Lead with impact:
    • Coach and support colleagues and team leaders to achieve excellent shop floor standards.
    • Foster a culture of exceptional customer service—"sell with personality, serve with heart and pride"—while prioritising the tagline “get one more item in every basket”.
  • Execution-focused:
    • Ensure the shop floor is landed, presentable, and ready for handover to the overnight team.
  • Talent Development:
    • Display empathy and resilience while driving team ownership, focus, and passion for the business.
    • Cultivate an “Asda(ness)” mindset—encouraging every colleague to feel valued, trusted, and motivated.
    • Provide opportunities for team growth and personal development.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Proven experience in supervising or managing teams in a retail/grocery environment.

Attributes & Skills:

  • Ability to make independent decisions with a hands-on attitude.
  • Demonstrable drive to improve processes and performance.
  • Strong ability to develop teams and manage change effectively.
  • A passion for customer service—striving to exceed expectations at every interaction.
  • Flexibility to work varied twilight shifts, including weekend coverage.
