Twilight Manager - Brecon

From a Bradford market stall to the UK’s fourth largest supermarket, we are proud to be the Yorkshire food retailer serving customers across the UK through nearly 500 stores and our online home delivery service.
Our business focuses primarily on food & grocery, uniquely sourcing and processing the vast majority of fresh food we sell through our own manufacturing facilities. We are now seeking a high-performing Twilight Manager to help drive our continued growth and success.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this role will involve:
- Leading and empowering colleagues to put the customer first and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Listening and responding to customer feedback and adjusting operations accordingly.
- Ensuring market-leading product availability throughout the store.
- Working with other store managers to lead a supportive yet performance-driven department.
- Efficiently managing all people routines, including scheduling, absence, performance management, and talent conversations.
- Delivering training programs to ensure teams have the capability and confidence to perform their roles effectively.
- Enabling cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring colleagues can work effectively across different areas.
- Identifying and developing talent within the department.
- Building strong relationships with operating departments to streamline operations.
- Leading colleagues to deliver outstanding performance against all relevant targets, while taking a leadership role in the store.
- Ensuring resources are planned accurately and efficiently.

While previous retail experience (or roles in hospitality, service industries, or travel & tourism) is beneficial, what truly matters is a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. If that’s you, we’d love to hear from you.

- Proven track record of managing teams in fast-paced environments.
- Outstanding communication skills to share knowledge, best practices, and expertise.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across different areas.
- Flexibility to adapt to change while effectively challenging existing processes.
- Active listening and respond effectively to both customers and colleagues.
