Position Overview
Primary Objective: To set up, operate, and tend to weaving machines that twist yarn together into strands for flooring production.
Key Responsibilities

Load and prepare machines:
- Creel single or double ply yarn packages and load them into the twister machines.
- Reposition buggies containing yarn and stage tubes for winding operations.

Operate and maintain production:
- Thread ends of single yarns and operate the spindle.
- Repair yarn breakouts during production runs.
- Doff twisted yarn packages and transfer them from the conveyor to a buggy/container.

Ensure safe, efficient operation:
- Monitor production output and machine equipment.
- Clean and dechoke spindles to maintain efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks using black lights to test for yarn defects.

- Attend any job-related training mandated by management.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and company policies.

Housekeeping and miscellaneous duties:
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance as assigned.
- Complete other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certifications Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of all mandatory on-the-job training and safety protocols.
- Previous experience in yarn handling or manufacturing is advantageous.
Key Competencies

- Teamwork: Operate in a team-based environment.
- Basic math skills for calculations and problem-solving.
- Attention to detail to maintain precision in production.
- Ability to Troubleshoot standardized variables in repetitive situations.
- Ability to read spec sheets or product specifications.
Physical & Work Environment Considerations
(Compliance with ADA/Centers for Disease Control) This role may require:
- Long-term bending, squatting, climbing, or lifting (up to 50 lbs frequently).
- Work in an industrial setting with:
- Moving machinery nearby.
- Regular exposure to chemicals, noise, dust, fumes, and temperature fluctuations.
