Role Description

The Glazier role is a full-time, on-site position based in Sittingbourne. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Measuring, cutting, and installing glass for windows, doors, and other glazing systems
  • Repairing or replacing damaged glass
  • Preparing work areas
  • Handling and transporting glass safely
  • Fitting frames and hardware
  • Ensuring all installations meet safety and quality standards
  • Liaising with customers and site managers
  • Interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Completing job documentation

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills in window and glazing installation, including measuring, cutting, fitting, and finishing glass units
  • Experience working with doors and associated frames, hardware, and seals in construction or glazing environments
  • Knowledge of auto glass fitting or repair is beneficial, including safe handling and installation techniques
  • Ability to provide clear, professional customer service, including communicating timelines, managing expectations, and resolving issues on site
  • Understanding of construction site safety practices, manual handling, and use of hand and power tools
  • Previous experience as a glazier, glass fitter, or similar trade role; relevant vocational training or apprenticeship is an advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, with good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable transport to the Sittingbourne site, and flexibility to work across different projects as required
