# Join the Rebellion!

Rebellion is more than just games—we’ve built a dynamic creative empire for 30 years. Founded by Jason & Chris Kingsley, our studios craft award-winning video games, films, board games, and through 2000AD, iconic comics like Judge Dredd. Now, we’re seeking a mid-level UI/UX Designer to shape the future of our products.

As part of our passionate team, you’ll pioneer intuitive, player-centric UI for an exciting, yet-to-be-revealed project. Wearying from the success of Atomfall (our largest game launch) and the beloved Sniper Elite series, we’re ready for bold designs.

About the Role

You’ll solve complex UX challenges, partnering with designers and UI artists to translate ideas into robust experiences using a visual scripting toolset. With a focus on iterative iteration, collaboration, and multi-disciplinary input, you’ll champion accessibility, usability, and visual harmony.

This is a technical yet creative role—your expertise will bridge user needs with game mechanics, supporting everything from green field R&D to pre-release optimisation.

Location: Our riverside Oxford HQ, offering support for relocation, flexible benefits, and a set-up-for-success culture.

Responsibilities

  • Design cross-platform UI for diverse input devices (keyboards, touch, VR, etc.)
  • Define best practices for modern game design, sharing your expertise with a growing team
  • Collaborate with Design & UI Art to craft wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and prototypes
  • Identify and solve UX barriers: assess project trade-offs (cost, time, feasibility) to deliver realistic yet impactful solutions
  • Implement UI directly using a visual scripting tool (e.g., Unreal, Unity UMG).
  • Champion accessibility and usability, considering cognitive load and player-first workflows
  • Mentor yourself by studying, improving diagnostic processes (e.g., debugging from UA test notes)
  • Research iterative fixes through feedback loops with internal stakeholders

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
