Job Title: UI/UX Specialist (AI & Audit Technology) – 6 Month Contract (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid, United Kingdom
Contract: 6 Months (Inside IR35)
The Role
We are looking for a UI/UX Specialist to join the Innovation & Deployment team within Audit Technology. This role will focus on designing intuitive, user-centred experiences for AI-enabled audit products, helping to bridge complex machine learning outputs with clear, trustworthy interfaces that integrate seamlessly into audit workflows.
Working closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, you will play a key role in shaping digital products that improve auditor productivity while ensuring accessibility, transparency, and compliance within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and contribute to the product vision, value proposition, strategy, and roadmap for AI-enabled audit solutions.
- Design intuitive, accessible, and user-centred interfaces for enterprise audit applications.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate AI and machine learning outputs into clear, actionable user experiences.
- Design interfaces that promote explainability, transparency, and trust in AI-driven decision support tools.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to continuously improve user experience.
- Create dashboards, visualisations, and micro-interactions that communicate confidence scores, recommendations, and risk indicators.
- Maintain and evolve design systems, component libraries, and UI standards across products.
- Champion accessibility and inclusive design, ensuring compliance with WCAG standards.
- Work alongside content designers and technical writers to deliver contextual guidance, help content, and in-product documentation.
- Support governance, quality assurance, testing, and accreditation activities in line with audit and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience across the full product lifecycle, ideally within Audit Technology or a related regulated domain.
- Experience designing enterprise, data-intensive, or AI-powered digital products.
- Strong understanding of human-AI interaction, explainable AI concepts, and trust-focused interface design.
- Expertise with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies and experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Strong visual design, interaction design, and information architecture skills.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts into intuitive user experiences.
- Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and managing design workstreams across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Design, or a related discipline.

Desirable Skills
- Experience within the Audit sector or regulated financial services.
- Knowledge of UK audit regulations, audit accreditation processes, or asset management.
- Experience designing AI-driven analytics, dashboards, or decision-support platforms.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
- Experience working within large enterprise transformation programmes.
