What you’ll be doing
The Asset Care Manager provides business support and strategic direction for sites in executing the organisation’s asset management vision. This role supports delivery of the long-term strategy to maximise the asset life cycle and value defined by the business. The role supports delivery of the asset management vision and long-term strategy to maximise asset availability, safety, compliance, sustainability, and whole-life value across the manufacturing estate. It supports the implementation of CBM / predictive maintenance techniques as defined by the head of asset management. The role will use life cycle asset management techniques to identify and support the implementation of asset or asset system decisions which support the business goals and objectives, delivering the required value at the lowest total cost of ownership.

Role Accountabilities
- Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management
- Support the delivery of the asset management strategy to ensure business growth, operational resilience, food safety, and sustainability objectives. Provide support and direction on asset-related risk, capital allocation, and lifecycle optimisation aligned with the organisational objectives.
- Support sites in the development of standardised preventive, predictive, and reliability-based maintenance strategies across all manufacturing sites, aligned with group targets and financial plans.
- Support sites in understanding and working to the group asset management governance framework, policies, and standards, ensuring alignment with ISO 55001 and consistent application across all sites.
- Completion of each site’s maturity assessment with the site engineering leads. From the maturity assessment, create a defined roadmap against the SAMP, to be agreed and delivered by the site engineering leads.
- Monitor sites against the CMMS standard ensuring full compliance. Audit sites against the group Asset Information & Data Strategy, ensuring value added inputs and outputs, with documented evidence of outcomes and improvement opportunities.
- Support delivery of the SAMP through asset criticality analysis, FMECA (developing the right maintenance plans), and risk management frameworks. Ensure high-criticality asset risks are identified, controlled, and mitigated to protect food safety, service, and compliance.
- Support the delivery of asset management training across the organisation through structured training, coaching, and deployment of best practices.
- Identify, manage, mitigate any significant high critical asset failure within the organization, considering the principles set out in the SAMP.
- Monitor site performance against the group SAMP KPI’s, creating a clear action plan where improvement is needed.

What we’re looking for
- Educated to degree level in Engineering (BEng, BSc, MEng, PhD) or has served and completed engineering apprenticeship
- Held a management position relating to asset care
- Knowledge of full Asset Care strategies and processes (maintenance workflow, reliability, failure reduction, TPM, etc.)
- Experienced in successful system deployment, including Industry 4.0 technologies across multiple sites.
- Experience working with CMMS systems.
- Experience in driving change management
- Regulatory compliance and risk management
- Application of asset management strategies
- Coaching of reliability techniques
- The ability to apply continuous improvement techniques and quantify asset, asset system and asset management activity-related risks with mitigation options
- Experience in food, FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated process industries
