Mercor is recruiting UK-based Accounting Specialists with ASC 606 revenue recognition experience for a research project with a leading frontier AI lab. We are seeking experienced accounting professionals with strong backgrounds in revenue recognition, technical accounting, audit, accounting advisory, and financial reporting. Candidates must have hands-on experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition and the ability to analyze complex accounting scenarios involving customer contracts, performance obligations, transaction price allocation, and revenue timing. Strong candidates should have experience interpreting accounting guidance, reviewing financial statements, evaluating revenue policies, and applying technical accounting judgment in real-world business contexts.

Ideal candidates have experience with one or more of the following:
- ASC 606 revenue recognition
- Contract review and revenue policy assessment
- Identifying performance obligations
- Variable consideration and transaction price allocation
- Principal vs. agent considerations
- Revenue timing and recognition criteria
- Audit or advisory work involving complex revenue arrangements
- Financial reporting and technical accounting memos
You'll help create, review, and evaluate high-quality accounting scenarios, leveraging your experience in revenue recognition, technical accounting, audit, and financial reporting. Strong candidates are comfortable applying accounting standards, analyzing contract terms, identifying technical accounting issues, and explaining revenue recognition conclusions clearly.

- You will be contributing high-quality training data for frontier AI systems
- You are available to work up to 40 hours per week
- Successful contributions increase the likelihood of being selected for future Mercor projects
