Mercor is recruiting UK-based Investment Banking M&A Specialists for a research project with a leading frontier AI lab. We are seeking experienced banking professionals with strong backgrounds in investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, financial analysis, valuation, and transaction execution. Strong candidates should have experience working on M&A transactions, including financial modeling, company analysis, due diligence, pitch materials, market research, and deal execution support.
Ideal candidates have experience at one or more bulge bracket investment banks, such as:
- Goldman Sachs
- Morgan Stanley
- J.P. Morgan
- Or another leading global investment bank with a strong M&A practice

Ideal candidates have experience with one or more of the following:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Financial modeling and valuation
- Company and industry analysis
- Transaction execution
- Due diligence
- Pitch books and investment committee materials
- Strategic buyer, sponsor, or public-company transaction analysis
You'll help create, review, and evaluate high-quality banking and M&A scenarios, leveraging your experience in investment banking, transaction analysis, and corporate finance decision-making. Strong candidates are comfortable analyzing financial statements, interpreting valuation outputs, understanding deal processes, and translating complex financial information into clear recommendations.

Here are more details about the role:
- You will be contributing high-quality training data for frontier AI systems
- You are available to work up to 40 hours per week
- Successful contributions increase the likelihood of being selected for future Mercor projects
