The Role and Who We Are

The Digital, Technology & Communications ("DT&C") team within Citi's UK Commercial Bank ("CCB") is a fast growth, dynamic business with a vision to significantly scale up over the next five years and beyond. It provides coverage of internationally focused, mid-market DT&C companies and disruptors. The sector includes clients in software, ecommerce, connectivity, media & entertainment, and communications. We offer our clients the convenience of a global banking network, thought leadership, and a broad suite of financial capabilities.

This Relationship Associate role is based in London with responsibility for assisting clients and Relationship Managers ("RMs") with operational items, KYC, credit requests, and client/prospect presentations. The Relationship Associate deals with most problems independently, but will have support to solve complex problems. Developing a solid understanding of industry standards and practices together with an ability to integrate with others in accomplishing objectives will be ingredients for success. The position requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Good communication skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Quality and timeliness of service provided to team and clients is core to the job.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
