Ford’s Office of Tax Counsel is seeking a motivated and technically capable UK Corporate Tax Manager to support the delivery of high-quality corporate tax compliance and advisory services.
This role has a strong focus on UK corporation tax compliance and technical advisory work, including tax accounting, R&D claims and transfer pricing. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced European and Global tax experts to deliver high quality solutions and gain unparalleled variety and involvement in their work, ensuring no two days are the same as you support our large-scale international operations.
The role also offers the opportunity to support the Tax function’s ongoing digital transformation, helping to improve controls, data quality and efficiency in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with solid UK corporate tax experience who is looking to deepen their technical capability and broaden their exposure within an in-house tax team.
Prepare and support the submission of UK corporation tax computations and returns Provide UK corporate tax technical support across compliance, reporting and advisory matters Support tax accounting and provisioning under US GAAP and UK statutory reporting requirements Assist with the preparation and review of UK R&D tax credit claims Liaise with HMRC and support the management of UK tax authority interactions Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Tax, Finance and the wider business Support transfer pricing analysis and documentation in coordination with regional and European tax teams Contribute to digital transformation and process improvement initiatives within the Tax function Provide tax support on ad-hoc projects and regional initiatives as required

The Minimum Requirements We Seek
Experience in UK corporate tax, gained in professional practice, in-house, or a public-sector environment (e.g. HMRC) Good technical understanding of UK corporation tax compliance and related reporting requirements Ability to advise the business on relevant tax issues to effectively support a range of internal stakeholders in a complex organisation Experience preparing or reviewing corporation tax computations and returns Organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities Excel skills and confidence working with systems and data ACA, ACCA, and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or alternatively completion of HMRC training (0-4 PQE) Candidates demonstrating strong UK corporate tax technical capability are strongly encouraged to apply

Experience using Alphatax or similar corporate tax compliance software Exposure to US GAAP tax accounting UK employment tax or benefits-in-kind experience Experience supporting tax process improvement or digital transformation initiatives

This position is based in Dunton, and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton office for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
As part of our pre-employment checks process, successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal record check. This will be conducted in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and applied only to unspent convictions.
