UK Country Manager
We are exclusively partnering with a leading global cryptocurrency exchange to appoint a UK Country Manager. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to lead one of the company's most strategically important markets, driving commercial growth, regulatory engagement, and local market execution.
Reporting into the international leadership team, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the UK growth strategy, expanding market share, strengthening strategic partnerships, and ensuring the business continues to operate within an evolving regulatory landscape.
This role is ideally suited to a commercially driven leader with deep knowledge of the UK digital assets ecosystem, a strong network across financial services, and a proven track record of scaling businesses in high-growth, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the UK commercial strategy to accelerate user growth, revenue, and market penetration.
- Lead all in-market business operations, ensuring alignment with global objectives while delivering operational excellence.
- Drive local marketing initiatives, partnerships, brand positioning, and community engagement to strengthen market presence.
- Build and maintain senior relationships with regulators, financial institutions, payment providers, industry bodies, and strategic partners.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments, identifying opportunities and mitigating commercial risk.
- Partner closely with Product, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Marketing, and Engineering teams to successfully launch and scale new products and services.
- Ensure all business activities meet UK regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and external engagements across the UK.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing local team, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
- Analyse commercial performance through key metrics, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

- Significant leadership experience within cryptocurrency, digital assets, fintech, payments, or broader financial services.
- Proven success leading a UK business, market, or commercial function, ideally in a Country Manager, General Manager, Regional Director, or similar leadership role.
- Deep understanding of the UK financial services landscape, digital asset regulation, and competitive market dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic partnerships and deliver sustainable commercial growth.
- Strong network across the UK fintech, crypto, financial services, and regulatory ecosystem.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with experience influencing at executive level.
- Commercially minded with strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.
- Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, scaling, and highly regulated environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
