UK Digital Leader – UK EY.com Lead

Branding, Marketing and Communications (BMC) Level 4: Associate Director (Senior Manager)

Location: Regional (Outside London) Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Currently minimum one day per week in the office

Join EY and help redefine the digital presence of a Big 4 professional services firm in the UK. As the UK Digital Leader, you’ll transform UK EY.com into a powerful platform that demonstrates how EY shapes the future with confidence for clients.

Your role will be to lead a high-impact digital transformation, ensuring the UK site aligns with global strategy while delivering a client-focused, discoverable, and high-converting digital experience.

The UK Digital Leader will lead a team across the UK and India, holding responsibility for:

  • Planning, designing, and optimising UK EY.com for global alignment while catering to local needs.
  • Using data-driven insights to shape content and experience strategies.
  • Collaborating with brand, marketing, and communications stakeholders.
  • Leading content creation, delivery, and performance measurement.
  • Staying ahead of evolving digital trends (including AI) and developing scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Align ey.com UK with business objectives, ensuring it supports brand and sales for priority products/services.
  • Develop a data-driven content and audience strategy to maximise engagement, traffic, and conversions.
  • Define client journeys, content priorities, and technical architecture while adhering to global guidelines.
  • Manage inbound content requests, prioritising those that support strategic or regulatory goals.
  • Proactively adopt AI tools to enhance content relevance, ease of use, and personalisation.

Site Management

  • Ensure up-to-date product/service pages with accurate value propositions, contact details, and thought leadership.
  • Maintain global taxonomy and technical compliance, resolving site issues (e.g., broken links).
  • Supervise content approval workflows for seamless updates and regulatory requirements.

Content Design, Build & Creation

  • Lead a team of Digital Portfolio Managers to align content strategies for four service lines (assurance, consulting, strategy & transactions, tax & law) and compliance content.
  • Govern a team of Digital Content Managers to produce, localise, and edit all UK content—balancing speed, quality, and brand consistency.
  • Oversee high-priority regulatory content delivery (e.g., legal disclosures, audit reports).
  • Direct a team of page builders to maintain a proper content production pipeline.
  • Simplify content processes while upholding brand standards and leveraging AI to automate repetitively.

Measurement & Analytics

  • Provide quarterly performance reports (traffic, SEO rankings, user behaviour, competitor benchmarking) to business stakeholders.
  • Interpret data into actionable recommendations for improvements or content adjustments.

Innovation & Future-readiness

  • Stay current on emerging tech trends (e.g., AI, voice search, personalisation) and recommend impactful enhancements.
  • Lead pilot programmes to test new digital approaches and scalability.
  • Champion technical innovation (e.g., CMS optimisation, automation).

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing, diverse digital team (UK + India-based) with.clear KPIs.
  • Foster strong relationships with Global BMC/EMEIA teams, advocating for digital investment and strategy.

Skills & Qualifications

Duration: Predictive, proactive leader with transformation experience, capable of driving change in a fast-paced, matrix organisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven senior digital leadership (directing cross-functional teams—content, tech, and stakeholder management).
  • Deep experience in website strategy, SEO, UX, digital content creation, and marketing automation tools (preferably using Adobe AEM).
  • Strong data literacy to interpret analytics and recommend optimisations.
  • Track record of leading content teams, and improving editorial processes.
  • Experience balancing commercial objectives with regulatory/compliance constraints.
  • Expertise scaling digital operations across geographically distributed teams.
