UK Direct Tax Specialist
Our Central Finance team are recruiting for a UK Direct Tax Specialist on a full time permanent basis.
What you could be doing:
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, compliant and well-controlled tax outcomes for the company with primary responsibility for UK Corporation Tax and employment-related tax compliance, tax accounting and associated reporting.
- You will support the company in meeting its UK and Group tax obligations
- Contribute to the effective management of tax risk
- Operate within established governance and control frameworks
- Contribute to VAT and customs compliance activities
- Support the wider objectives of the Volkswagen Group Tax function
Skills and experience you can bring to role:
- Recently qualified CTA, or part qualified CTA with the desire to complete the qualification. Alternatively, qualified ACA or equivalent with proven direct tax experience.
- Strong applied technical knowledge and experience of UK corporation tax and employment-related tax.
- Exposure to UK transfer pricing compliance and international tax concepts.
- Experience of year end deferred tax reporting.
- Proficient in financial and tax data analysis.
- Strong governance, documentation and control discipline.
- Ability to communicate, engage and influence stakeholders across multiple disciplines and levels.
- Well organised approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple compliance and reporting deadlines and priorities concurrently.
