i2 Group, a Harris Computer company, are seeking an experienced UK Director - Public Sector and Strategic Accounts on a full-time, permanent, remote basis with a monthly requirement of attending the i2 Group offices in Cambridge.
i2 Group is looking to build on its trusted position within the UK market by deepening engagement with senior leaders across public sector, law enforcement, and selected regulated commercial organisations, while expanding its role in strategic, mission-critical programmes.
The UK Director – Public Sector & Strategic Accounts will lead this effort, building relationships at senior levels, shaping complex opportunities, and supporting the growth of i2’s presence across government and adjacent sectors.
This role sits at the intersection of market access, strategic influence, and commercial delivery, with a primary focus on public sector while supporting broader opportunities where i2’s capabilities align.
Key Responsibilities
Senior Engagement & Market Positioning
- Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers and programme leadership across government, law enforcement, and relevant commercial organisations
- Position i2 within strategic initiatives and transformation programmes, not just individual procurements
- Represent i2 across industry forums, partners, and relevant networks
- Continue to strengthen i2’s reputation as a trusted partner in complex, high-impact environments
Strategic Opportunity Development
- Identify and shape high-value opportunities across public sector and adjacent regulated industries
- Engage early in programme lifecycles to influence direction before procurement
- Position i2’s capabilities around mission outcomes, operational impact, and decision advantage
- Build a pipeline of strategic, multi-year opportunities aligned to UK priorities
Complex Deal Leadership
- Play a leading role in progressing high-value, multi-stakeholder opportunities
- Navigate complex stakeholder environments and procurement processes
- Align internal Sales, Pre-Sales, Product, and Delivery teams around key opportunities during RFIs and Tenders
- Support deal strategy and execution through to successful outcomes
Value Articulation & Thought Leadership
- Communicate i2’s value at an executive level, focusing on outcomes rather than product features during key customer interactions including but not limited to conferences, networking events, roundtables, onsite visits to customers etc.
- Translate customer challenges across both public sector and commercial settings into clear strategic value
- Contribute to the evolution of go-to-market messaging and positioning
- Bring insight into UK priorities, funding direction, and market trends

Partner & Ecosystem Development
- Working in conjunction with the i2 strategy team, you will build relationships with key systems integrators, consultancies, and technology partners
- Identify and activate routes to market across both public sector and commercial opportunities
- Position i2 within broader programmes delivered through partners
Internal Leadership & Market Insight
- Act as a senior voice for the UK market into i2 leadership, strategy and product roadmap
- Provide insight into customer needs, competitive positioning, and evolving opportunities
- Support development of strategic account plans across key UK customers
Measures of Success
- Growth and quality of strategic pipeline across public sector and priority commercial accounts
- Depth and strength of senior stakeholder relationships
- Contribution to major deal wins and expansion of contract value
- Increased presence of i2 within strategic programmes
- Strength and effectiveness of partner engagement
Required Qualifications And Expectations
- 5 years + experience in public sector, regulated industry sales, or government-facing roles
- Proven track record of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders in complex organisations
- Experience contributing to or leading high-value, multi-stakeholder opportunities
- Strong understanding of UK public sector structures, with exposure to commercial environments beneficial
- Ability to operate credibly at both strategic and commercial levels
- Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
- Expected to be available to travel up to 50% of the time as required by the business
Preferred Background
- Experience within consulting, systems integration, or enterprise technology organisations
- Background in data, analytics, intelligence, or mission-critical domains
- Established network across public sector, law enforcement, or adjacent regulated industries
- Experience operating across both public sector and commercial engagements
