About Auror

At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.

Founded in New Zealand 12 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good.

Our mission is clear: reduce violent retail crime by 50% in 5 years. It's an ambitious goal - and one we believe is achievable. In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.

We're also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact - whether that's enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we're committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function.

The Role

As our UK Finance Manager (known internally as Finance Business Partner UK), you’ll play a critical role in delivering accurate, insightful, and meaningful financial information that drives decision-making and supports Auror’s growth across the United Kingdom and Europe.

You’ll own the financial reporting cycle for the UK region, ensuring the integrity of numbers and bringing them to life through thoughtful analysis and clear storytelling. You’ll also lead key operational finance processes, drive ongoing transformation initiatives, and act as a strategic finance partner to business leaders, providing commercial insight, challenging assumptions, and influencing decision-making.

You’ll be an experienced and highly trusted team player whose impact extends beyond day-to-day execution. You’ll help shape how the finance team operates, influence cross-functional decision-making and drive improvements that enable the broader business to scale effectively.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across global Finance and the wider business, building trusted relationships and providing the insight that underpins decisions. You’ll thrive in an environment that values ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of reporting across the UK region, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Preparing variance analyses and commentary that connect financial results to business performance.
  • Maintaining reconciliations, journals, and compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to explain financial results, challenge assumptions, and identify opportunities for improvement. Developing and maintaining financial reports and dashboards that drive visibility and accountability across the business.
  • Identifying and managing financial and operational risks, ensuring high standards of accuracy, governance, and compliance across the region, including leading the establishment of core operational processes for new European markets.
  • Owning UK tax and audit compliance, including leading UK audit process, annual corporate tax filings, VAT requirements and ensuring intercompany activity aligns with Auror’s transfer pricing policy.
  • Payroll compliance, ensuring timely and accurate pay processing while adhering to required statutory and reporting requirements.
  • Leading forecasting and planning cycles for the UK region, helping teams plan effectively and make informed commercial decisions.
  • Owning AP and AR processes for the UK region, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, strong vendor & customer management, effective controls, and proactive visibility over cashflow impacts including FX and risk considerations.
  • Leading finance transformation initiatives, including automation, process simplification, AI-enabled process improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Supporting cross-functional initiatives and strategic projects, helping align finance operations with Auror’s broader growth objectives across UK and Europe and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing finance culture.
  • Lead the finance workstream for expansion into new markets in Europe - preparing financial forecasts, considering risks, required processes and compliance obligations.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks before they become problems, bringing analysis and a recommended course of action.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Collaboration & influence: You build strong, trusted relationships and communicate financial information clearly across teams, functions, and geographies.
