About the Role
London, UK
This is a strategic and dynamic leadership opportunity to join BYD EMEA’s Financing team and drive business growth in Europe’s commercial vehicle market. reporting to Senior Management at HQ; working fully remotely from location of your choice until relocation to London commences, accompanied by relocation-related benefits (if applicable).
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Financing Solutions will lead financing strategy and execution in UK & Continental Europe, playing a pivotal role in driving sustainable mobility solutions.

Financing Solutions & Strategy (60%)
- Implement and optimise comprehensive sales financing programs for commercial vehicles
- Manage financing products including (but not limited to):
- Dealer financing
- Loans
- Leasing
- Fleet-as-a-Service electrification solutions for end customers
- Monitor programme performance, making real-time adjustments based on market feedback and business needs
- Collaborate with sales, product, and operations teams to align financing strategies with overall business objectives
Market Intelligence & Residual Value Management (20%)
- Collect competitive analysis of financing offerings in the European commercial vehicle market
- Organise and drive Residual Value (RV) recommendations
- Maintain updated knowledge of:
- Industry trends
- Regulatory changes
- Emerging financing models
- Provide data-driven insights for pricing and product positioning decisions
Partnership & Stakeholder Management (20%)
- Establish and nurture relationships with:
- Banks
- Leasing companies
- Other financial institutions
- Negotiate financing terms and conditions
- Coordinate and deliver training programmes for:
- Internal sales teams
- Dealers
- Financial partners
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all financing-related inquiries
Key Requirements
Minimum Practical Experience
- Develop financing solutions for distributors, end customers, and newly expanded markets across:
- UK
- Continental Europe
- Leverage financing tools to:
- Drive sales conversions
- Deliver product training
- Establish financial partnerships with:
- Local financial institutions
- International institutions
- Manage financing business for distributors
- Oversee full lifecycle of financing projects, including:
- Application review
- Negotiation
- Fund disbursement
- Post-lending management (repayment monitoring)
- Conduct customer credit assessments, identifying financing-related risks
- Ensure HQ and regional team alignment and liaison with external partners

Additional Responsibilities
- Source market insights and compile business analysis reports
- Monitor industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes
- Fulfill other tasks assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications & Education
- Maximum 3 years set end date, then likely progression to permanent role
- Preference for a minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant field
Preferred Credentials
- Master’s degree or above
- Major preferred: Finance, Economics, or relevant High-Tech/FinTech focus
