The Banker
The Banker is a client-facing professional responsible for managing and growing Citi's relationships with the local subsidiaries of our multinational clients Global Network Banking team. The overall objective is to deepen wallet penetration, drive revenue growth, and ensure the seamless delivery of Citi's products and services within the local market, as well as provide coverage support to Senior Bankers in the team.
Responsibilities

Support Banker
- Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management support
- Assist with day-to-day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts, other products and solutions
- Support Bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenue
- Responsible for evaluating public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses
- Responsible for staying abreast of market and industry trends, “best practices” and competitive landscape

Relationship Management
- Build and nurture trusted advisor relationships with key contacts at the client's local subsidiary through valuable insights and high-quality engagement
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the local entity's business model, strategy, and financial wallet to identify and pursue opportunities
- Maintain a strong and consistent calling intensity to ensure proactive and responsive client coverage within the country
- Strong focus in origination and execution of top revenue wallet opportunities

In-Country Origination & Coverage
- Drive in-country wallet share growth for a portfolio of key subsidiary clients, maximizing Citi's penetration in the local market
- Lead with solutions tailored to the local market, leveraging country and sector insights while aligning with the client's global parent strategy
- Manage the local client pipeline effectively and collaborate with in-country Product Specialists to deliver banking solutions

- Local Strategy & Credit
- Align account activities with local and global strategic initiatives, including country or product-specific campaigns, wallet sizing, and corridor plays
- Contribute to the development of local market strategy and product development initiatives
- Maintain strong credit knowledge focusing on the credit needs of the local subsidiary
- Assist in escalations from the Client Manager
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous substantial experience in client management or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the local market, economic trends, and regulatory environment.
- Credit Skills: Strong credit understanding and risk assessment skills.
- Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of corporate banking products, particularly Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) and Markets.
- Client Focus: Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- An MBA, CFA, or other advanced degree is a plus.
Certification Requirements
"Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.
