UK Head of Compliance
We are exclusively partnering with a leading global cryptocurrency exchange to appoint a UK Head of Compliance.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced UK regulatory leader to take ownership of the firm's compliance strategy while playing a central role in shaping its commercial growth across the United Kingdom. Sitting at the intersection of regulation and business, this role will work closely with global leadership to ensure the organisation continues to scale in a compliant, sustainable, and commercially successful manner.
The successful candidate will be the firm's UK compliance lead, acting as the primary regulatory representative while partnering with senior stakeholders across Product, Commercial, Legal, Risk, and Operations to drive market expansion in one of the world's most strategically important digital asset markets.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a crypto compliance leader who wants to move beyond a traditional advisory function and become a key commercial partner to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the UK compliance function, ensuring the business continues to meet all applicable FCA regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact with the FCA and other relevant regulatory bodies, building trusted and credible external relationships.
- Provide strategic regulatory guidance to senior leadership, enabling sustainable commercial growth across the UK market.
- Partner with Product, Commercial, Marketing, Legal, and Risk teams to launch new products and services within the UK regulatory framework.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting cryptoassets, financial promotions, AML, consumer protection, and wider UK financial services legislation, proactively advising the business on emerging risks and opportunities.
- Develop and enhance the firm's UK compliance framework, policies, and controls in line with regulatory expectations and global standards.
- Support strategic partnerships with financial institutions, payment providers, and key industry stakeholders, providing regulatory expertise throughout the partnership lifecycles.
- Represent the business at regulatory forums, industry events, and external engagements, helping strengthen the company's reputation within the UK digital assets ecosystem.
- Provide leadership and mentorship across the UK compliance function while fostering a strong culture of integrity, accountability, and commercial collaboration.
- Deliver regular reporting and strategic recommendations to executive leadership on regulatory developments, compliance risks, and market opportunities.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
