UK National Account Manager

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Alongside our thriving DTC business, ICONIC London partners with leading global retailers including Sephora, Marks & Spencer, Cult Beauty and LOOKFANTASTIC, with continued expansion across international markets.

This is a 12-month maternity cover contract reporting to the Head of UK & EMEA. The role is critical to driving sales growth across our UK retail business, delivering commercial targets, and identifying opportunities to accelerate performance across existing and future retail partnerships.

We are looking for a highly commercial National Account Manager/Senior National Account Manager with strong beauty retail experience, a proven track record of delivering sales targets, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Role Purpose

The UK National Account Manager will own the commercial performance of key UK retail accounts, driving sales, profitability and market share growth through exceptional account management, strategic planning and effective execution.

You will work closely with retail partners and internal teams to identify opportunities, optimise performance, deliver successful launches and ensure ICONIC London is presented consistently and effectively across all consumer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering Sales Performance

  • Own and deliver budgeted sales, profit and growth targets across UK retail accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that maximise commercial opportunities and market share.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within accounts and take proactive action to drive performance.
  • Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, investment, promotional plans, merchandising opportunities and annual business agreements.
  • Drive sell-in and sell-out performance through strong retailer partnerships and commercially focused execution.
  • Monitor account performance against budget, forecast accurately and implement recovery plans where required.
  • Deliver successful product launches and seasonal activities that maximise sales and retailer engagement.

Retail Partner Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships across retailer commercial, marketing, digital, merchandising, supply chain and store teams.
  • Develop joint business plans that align retailer objectives with ICONIC London growth ambitions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, presenting clear recommendations and actions to improve performance.
  • Maintain ICONIC London as a trusted strategic partner within key retail accounts.

Forecasting & Commercial Planning

  • Build accurate sales forecasts for existing and new product launches.
  • Partner closely with Demand Planning and Operations teams to ensure forecasts support stock availability and minimise supply risks.
  • Maintain strong visibility of retailer inventory levels and proactively manage replenishment opportunities.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and contribute to long-term growth planning.

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyse sales, stock and marketing ROI data to identify insights and opportunities.
  • Translate performance data into clear recommendations and action plans.
  • Produce regular reporting on account performance, risks, opportunities and forecast updates.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of retailer performance metrics and KPIs.

Trade Marketing & Retail Execution

  • Ensure ICONIC London is brought to life effectively across digital and physical retail environments.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Creative teams to deliver best-in-class retailer activations and launch plans.
  • Maximise product visibility, promotional support and merchandising opportunities across all retail partners.
  • Evaluate ROI of promotional and marketing activity to ensure investment delivers commercial return.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong partnerships internally across Marketing, Digital, NPD, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance.
  • Ensure clear communication of customer plans, commercial priorities and support requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively to deliver retailer launches, promotional activity and strategic initiatives.
  • Anticipate business impacts and align stakeholders to ensure successful execution.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous National Account Management experience within beauty, ideally colour cosmetics
  • Strong experience managing UK beauty retail accounts.
  • Proven track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Strong forecasting, budgeting and analytical capability.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and convert insights into actions.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on, proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong PowerPoint, Excel and Word capabilities.

Preferred

  • Colour cosmetics experience.
  • Experience working within a fast-growth or entrepreneurial brand environment.
  • Knowledge of UK beauty retail landscape and consumer trends.
