About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales, the UK Sales Manager will lead commercial growth, customer retention, and team development across the UK. This is a high-impact position driving strategy, expanding market presence, and capitalising on opportunities in:
- Environmental monitoring
- Water quality
- AMP8-related programmes
Location: Remote (UK-based) with regular UK customer visits and periodic office presence (Redditch, UK). 50%+ travel requirement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the UK commercial team, fostering accountability, coaching, and high performance.
- Design and execute commercial strategies to achieve double-digit business growth and expand UK market penetration.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with:
- Water utilities
- Engineering consultancies
- Contractors
- Environmental stakeholders
- Manage sales forecasting, CRM compliance, pipeline health, and commercial reporting to ensure consistent performance.
- Collaborate with service, operations, technical support, and marketing teams to deliver high-value customer projects and large-scale programmes.
- Lead major negotiations and strategic account planning for high-value opportunities in the UK water sector.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities tied to:
- AMP8 investments
- Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) monitoring
- Section 82 requirements
- Water quality initiatives
Essential Requirements
- Proven expertise in B2B technical sales, commercial leadership, or business development.
- Experience leading teams—developing and scaling sales or account management functions.
- Domain-specific knowledge of the UK water industry, including:
- Environmental monitoring
- Water quality instrumentation
- Utilities, wastewater, or related markets
- Strategic commercial acumen: Ability to develop growth strategies, manage forecasts, and optimise CRM systems.
- Sales leadership experience—navigating complex opportunities with multi-stakeholder engagement, strategic accounts, or enterprise-level customers.
- Matrix organisation background: Navigating large multinationals and collaborating across departments.
