About the Role: UK Sales Manager
Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, the UK Sales Manager will lead commercial growth, customer retention, and sales team development across the UK market. You’ll shape decision-ready intelligence for water utilities, environmental consultants, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders—ensuring clarity and confidence in sustainable water management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the UK commercial organisation, with a focus on accountability, coaching, and performance management.
- Drive double-digit business growth through commercial strategy execution, increasing market penetration in environmental monitoring, water quality, and AMP8 projects.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with water utilities, engineering consultancies, contractors, and environmental regulators.
- Manage sales forecasting, CRM compliance, pipeline health, funnel reviews, and commercial reporting to ensure strong business performance.
- Collaborate with service, operations, technical support, and marketing teams to deliver high-value customer projects and enterprise-level water monitoring programmes.
- Lead major commercial negotiations, strategic account planning, and high-stake bids within the UK water sector.
- Identify and seize new opportunities from AMP8 investments, Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) monitoring, Section 82 reporting, and broader environmental compliance initiatives.

Work Life at Ott
This is a hybrid role with significant travel (50% or more). The ideal candidate will work remotely but spend time with UK clients and visit the Redditch office periodically to support leadership activities.

Essential Experience & Requirements
- Proven expertise in B2B technical sales, commercial leadership, or business development—with a track record of success.
- Team development experience: Leading sales, commercial, or account management teams.
- Relevant industry knowledge: Experience selling environmental monitoring, instrumentation, wastewater, or water quality solutions in the UK market.
- Strategic sales execution: Ability to develop pipelines, forecast sales, manage CRM systems, and drive growth.
- Handling high-value deals: Experience with complex sales stretching across multiple stakeholders and enterprise customers.
- Global mindset: Comfort working in large, matrix-driven multinational environments.
