In this role, you will enable Arup to embed a commercially robust, operationally strong social value approach that drives real-world benefit.
The Opportunity
Arup is seeking an experienced UK Social Value Delivery Leader to shape and lead our social value strategy and delivery across the UK. This is a senior leadership role designed for an ambitious individual who can translate vision into impactful action:
- Develop a clear regional strategy that enhances bid success, strengthens client engagement, and improves social value delivery.
- Design scalable programmes and partnerships that transcend traditional boundaries, ensuring alignment between business objectives, client outcomes, and community benefit.
- Build and lead a small central hub, collaborating with a dispersed network of bid teams, project teams, and senior stakeholders to integrate social value into every stage of the value chain.
- Create mechanisms for credible measurement and evidence-based reporting, able to demonstrate impact at both project and national levels.

You’ll have the chance to make socially useful work meaningful—not just for Arup or your career alone, but for the people, regions, and communities we serve.

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
