We are an independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants, and technical specialists, offering specialist services that advance society’s goals and aspirations.

Social value has become a critical part of public procurement and decision-making. Organisations must not only commit but must deliver sustainably, measure genuinely, and demonstrate meaningful impact. In this role, you will help ensure Arup’s approach remains commercially strong, operationally robust, and aligned with the Social Value Act (UK) and evolving procurement expectations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced UK Social Value Delivery Leader to shape and lead our social value approach across the UK. This is a senior leadership role, ideal for someone who can turn ambition into delivery:

  • Build a clear regional UK strategy for social value.
  • Strengthen win-winning capabilities in bids.
  • Develop scalable programmes and partnerships across the business.
  • Improve how we measure and evidence social impact.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Leading a central hub that partners with senior leaders, bid teams, project teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Driving high-impact models by influencing at senior levels, creating practical delivery frameworks, and aligning social value to client outcomes, community benefits, and business goals.
  • Ensuring multiple diverse projects at Arup meet their social value commitments effectively.

This is a rare opportunity to establish a distinctive, high-impact social value capability in a global sector-leading consultancy. You will have visibility, influence, and the tools to create an approach that is commercially effective and genuinely transformative for communities.

Motivated to Combine Leadership and Social Impact?

At Arup, we revel in the collaborative diversity of our team—diverse perspectives, experiences, and ideas drive our work and successes.

You’ll do more than just work—you’ll make a lasting difference:

  • Work on meaningful, socially impactful projects that matter to Arup, your career, clients, and communities.
  • Join a collective that cares about its people, prioritising growth, belonging, and thriving through purposeful work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
