Company Description
EBS is a leading independent manufacturer and distributor of air brake and turbochargers, offering both a premium in-house brand and OE brands. EBS continues to expand and innovate its product ranges to meet market demands. With a globally recognised brand, EBS serves customers throughout Europe and beyond, maintaining a steadfast commitment to excellence in both products and services.
About the Role
As a UK Telesales Agent, you’ll be the first point of contact for our trade customers - handling enquiries, identifying the right parts, and turning everyday calls into orders.
It’s more than order-taking: you’ll proactively grow customer spend, follow up quotes, win back lapsed accounts, and build lasting relationships with our UK customer base - helping grow our market share across the product ranges and brands we offer.
It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys talking to customers, has a can-do attitude, and wants to build a career in sales.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Handle inbound and outbound trade calls, giving customers a fast, accurate, and helpful service.
- Identify the correct parts using our cataloguing, cross-reference, and vehicle lookup systems.
- Convert enquiries into orders and proactively upsell and cross-sell across the products we offer.
- Promote new-to-range products and current promotions on every suitable call.
- Develop customer accounts, spotting opportunities, chasing quotes, and re-engaging lapsed or under-trading customers alongside our external sales managers.
- Provide quotations and process telephone, email, and website orders accurately on our MAM Autopart software.
- Feedback competitor pricing and market activity to help shape our pricing and commercial decisions.
- Work with the external sales team, customer services, purchasing, and other internal teams to resolve queries and keep customers updated.
- Keep customer and order records accurate and up to date.
- Build deep product knowledge across our ranges.
- Work towards agreed UK sales and margin targets.
- Follow EBS procedures and support our quality and environmental standards.
- Carry out other reasonable duties in line with the role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
