We are looking for leadership talent who want to help shape this exciting time for Startups in a brand new function built from scratch. In this role, the team you build will be aligned to a set of Startup prospects/customers and will work closely with the Area and segment leadership teams to build a plan to execute on the Area, segment and account priorities.

Key job responsibilities

  • As a manager for the Startup Central Sales team you will build a high impact and diverse team of Central Sales Representatives who are responsible for teaming with specialist and technical functions to deploy startup specific account management.
  • You will manage career growth and development of the team, coach the team on performance, sales planning, operations, pipeline management and strategy.
  • Your team will help to grow the consumption of current and new AWS services across prospects/customers in the Startup space.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Sales Management of technology-related sales or comparable business development
  • 10+ years of sales experience including 5+ years of managing a team minimum
  • Ability to coach team on sales including pipeline management, deal coaching and best practices
  • Strong and demonstrated experience in working with diverse customer stakeholders from senior leadership, founders and technical teams in customers
  • Actively take up stretch assignments for the function and segment at an EMEA level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS and a management degree like MBA
  • Domain experience with the startup eco-system and cloud
  • Experience building new teams/products/functions
