Unaccredited Registrar – General Medicine
2 x Temporary Full Time positions
Calvary Mater Newcastle
Salary Classification: Registrar Years 1-4
Remuneration: $59.38 - $74.47 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options [https://www.prosperity.com.au/].
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the General Medicine Department at Calvary Mater Newcastle in a Unaccredited Registrar role.
You will be working in an acute clinical setting supporting the General Medicine Staff Specialists.
Your main duties will include:
- Participate in the care of patients in a general internal medicine service, particularly those with complex care needs
- Accompany consultants and teams on daily rounds, attend meetings and discussions required for the provision of patient care
- Liaise closely with senior colleagues in matters of patient diagnosis, progress, results and management

About you:
- MBBS or equivalent, currently hold full registration or eligible for full registration with the Medical Board of Australia (the position is not suitable for those with Limited registration).
- Have at least 3 years post graduate experience including experience in general medicine or hospital medicine within the Australian Healthcare system, or equivalent health system.
- Able to make sound clinical decisions in accordance with level of experience and awareness of limitations
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary team
