Salary & Hours

Salary: Starting from £32,864 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience) Hours: Monday to Friday | 40 Hours Per Week | Permanent Location: Kenton, HA3

We are seeking a full-time Level 3 qualified Room Leader to oversee our Under 2's room, ensuring high standards of care and a nurturing, stimulating environment for the little ones.

Our Kenton Day Nursery and Preschool is a charming converted house, located near the Bakerloo & Metropolitan Lines in Kenton, Harrow. With 88 places, we boast well-resourced rooms, a vibrant outdoor garden area featuring play equipment, cosy reading corners, and a team passionately dedicated to early years care.

The Role

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate your team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Foster children’s development and support them in reaching their milestones
  • Ensure child welfare, health & safety, and safeguarding compliance
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and professionals
  • Create engaging, inclusive learning environments

Requirements

  • Fully-qualified with a Level 3 (or above) Early Years certification
  • Previous experience (preferably as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Practitioner, or Early Years Educator)
  • Passion for child-centred, creative learning
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
  • Safeguarding Expertise: Proficiency in safeguarding, child protection, and legislative requirements
  • Excellent communication skills for teamwork, parental engagement, and interacting with children
