Undergraduate Assessment Officer (Fixed term)
Role: Assessment Administrator (APM) – Undergraduate Veterinary Assessments
Veterinary Medicine & Science Location: Sutton Bonington, University of Nottingham Salary: £29,740–£36,446 per annum (pro-rata, dependent on skills/experience) Reference: MED404726
About The Role
You will support the management, coordination, and delivery of assessments across undergraduate Veterinary Medicine & Science modules, including:
- ExamSys paper administration
- Observed Structured Clinical/Practical Assessments (OSCE/OSPE/Corrective Exams)
- Logistics for coursework submissions
As part of the Assessment Team, key responsibilities include: • Providing administrative and logistical support for fair, organised assessments for students, academics, and examiners • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards • Collaborating with academic teams, clinical staff, and professional services • Improving assessment design and delivery
This role demands flexibility (onsite exams, shifting working hours) and involves Sutton Bonington Campus.
The tasks outlined are not exhaustive; duties may expand to support broader School objectives.

About The Team
The Assessment Team (4 APM staff) delivers and enhances assessments spanning dual cohorts:
- 8,000 summative exams
- 2,000 coursework submissions
- 100 practical exams (hands-on labs)
- 300 vivas
- OSCE/OSPE administration: 4,200 stations using live animals, models, and cadavers
The team operates in a fast-paced, inclusive environment with a focus on operational excellence, collaboration, and service development.
About You
Required for success:
✔ Relevant qualifications or substantive experience in UK FE/HE assessment or professional services ✔ Strong administrative, data handling, and reporting skills ✔ Familiarity with GDPR policies
