The Role & Responsibilities
Driving innovation behind inhaled drug products, the 12-month fixed-term Undergraduate Industrial Placement Formulation & Process Scientist will:
- Conduct laboratory experiments at scale to develop formulations, ensuring technical milestones align with supervisor discussion.
- Analyse data to assess how formulation and process parameters influence product quality attributes.
- Communicate results effectively:
- Present experimental plans and data in project team meetings.
- Contribute to technical reports on product development.
- Adhere to regulatory policies, including:
- Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Quality & Compliance Standards
- Perform additional duties based on role requirements.

Requirements
To thrive in this role, you must demonstrate:
- A-levels (or equivalent) in science subjects.
- Studies in a relevant degree (e.g., Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry) toward a BSc or MSc.
- Formulation knowledge in drug product development.
- Hands-on lab experience as essential.
- Self-management skills:
- Autonomous task delivery under supervision.
- Organisation and adherence to timelines.
- Computer proficiency, e.g., Microsoft Office, Windows, web browsers.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
