Underwriting SME | Insurance | Integration Discovery
📍 6-Month Contract
💰 Inside IR35 (PAYE) | £550–£750+ per day (DOE - open to senior profiles, rate can be discussed)

Robert Half is working with a large insurance organisation that has recently completed an acquisition and is looking for an experienced Underwriting SME to support the early discovery phase of the integration.
This is a business-facing role focused on building a clear understanding of the acquired business, with a particular emphasis on underwriting.

You'll be working across the end-to-end underwriting landscape to understand:
- Current underwriting processes and ways of working
- Systems and applications in use
- Data flows and reporting
- Risks, gaps, and opportunities that will inform the wider integration programme
You'll be engaging with stakeholders across underwriting, operations, data, and technology, asking the right questions, mapping current-state processes, and helping shape the future operating model.

- Solid insurance industry knowledge, ideally with a strong underwriting background
- Experience running discovery work and mapping business processes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- The ability to translate complex business challenges into clear recommendations
