Job Description
Key Accountabilities & Role Requirements
- Underwriting individual risks
- Underwrite at the Lloyd’s box
- Manage coverholder relationships through regular dialogue
- Keep abreast of legal changes in key territories and their impact on our portfolio
- Travel to see coverholders, clients, and brokers in key territories
- Managing market dynamics through the market cycle
- Pipeline and development of opportunities with key brokers
- Managing internal stakeholders
- Work within agreed Underwriting Authority and Westfield Specialty International Underwriting framework
- Deputise for the Head of International Liability where required
- Cross sell with other lines of business (particularly Property / FinPro)
- Working with colleagues to train and develop more junior colleagues

Skills & Competencies Required
- Proven experience underwriting GL risks in the Lloyd’s or international insurance market.
- Strong technical knowledge of GL related risk.
- Understanding of market cycles, broker dynamics, and regulatory environment within Lloyd’s and global insurance markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience in General Liability Insurance.
- ACII qualification (or working towards completion)
