Eames Consulting is partnering with a leading Lloyd's Syndicate looking to appoint an Underwriter to join its established US Delegated Property team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded underwriting platform with a well-established presence in the delegated authority market. Working alongside an experienced team, you'll underwrite a broad portfolio of US Property binder business while developing long-term relationships with coverholders, MGAs and London Market brokers.

The successful individual will play a key role in underwriting both new and renewal business, managing the ongoing performance of delegated authority accounts and contributing to the continued growth of an established Property portfolio.

The Opportunity

  • Underwrite new and renewal US Delegated Property binder business in line with underwriting strategy and authority.
  • Manage the ongoing performance of delegated authority portfolios, monitoring profitability, claims trends, rate movement and underwriting performance.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with coverholders, MGAs and London Market brokers to support both portfolio retention and profitable growth.
  • Review slips, endorsements, bordereaux and underwriting information to ensure business remains within underwriting appetite and authority.
  • Work closely with Claims, Exposure Management, Actuarial, Compliance and Binder Management teams to deliver a first-class underwriting service.
  • Attend broker, coverholder and market meetings while contributing to the continued development of the delegated property portfolio.
  • Support wider strategic initiatives within the Property division and contribute to the continued success of the team.

About You

  • You'll already have experience underwriting Property business within the Lloyd's or London Market and be looking to build your career within a well-established delegated authority team.
  • Whether your background is in Delegated Property, DUA or D&F, you'll have a strong understanding of the delegated underwriting market, enjoy developing broker and coverholder relationships and take a disciplined, commercial approach to underwriting.
