We are currently looking for an Underwriter to join our Mortgage & Credit team based out of our London office.

This is a high-impact, commercially focused position that will support the Head of Mortgage & Credit in driving growth, profitability, and strategic oversight across a multi-product line of business including Mortgage, Creditor/PPI, and legacy/runoff portfolios. It is a commercially focused position offering exposure across underwriting, portfolio management, reinsurance, and stakeholder engagement. In this role you will hold underwriting authority for the UK regulated entity, represent the business in dealings with MGAs and reinsurers, and play a key role in originating and managing profitable business opportunities.

The position also offers the opportunity to build expertise across multiple product lines while contributing to structured reinsurance transactions, portfolio performance, and the oversight of legacy/runoff business.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong track record of profitable underwriting within any specialty or financial lines but preferably Mortgage and / or credit lines, alongside the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions. You will be a confident communicator with experience engaging internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate a commercial mindset with a clear focus on portfolio performance and long-term value creation.
