Underwriting Assistant – London (Permanent)

Hybrid role

Are you detail-oriented, organised, and passionate about supporting underwriting operations? Join a leading insurance broker as an Underwriting Assistant and play a key role in ensuring the smooth processing of insurance risks and documentation.

As the first link between underwriting teams and business support, you’ll be responsible for accurate and timely data entry, documentation management, and stakeholder communication. 💼 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Process submissions, policies, and updates with precision and speed.
  • Liaise with underwriting teams to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
  • Collaborate with offshore processing partners and perform quality checks.
  • Resolve queries, support month-end procedures, and manage outstanding debt investigations.
  • Participate in audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate progress against SLAs and KPIs, and support broader operational goals.

🧠 What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in insurance operations, ideally within the London/Lloyd’s Market.
  • Familiarity with Genius/IRIS systems (highly desirable).
  • Strong communication and Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
