Job Title: Underwriting Assistant – Delegated Property
Reporting to: Deputy Head Underwriter – Delegated Property

Overview
The role will be a key member of the support team for the 5 Delegated Property underwriters based in our Fenchurch Street office. The successful candidate will be involved with the day-to-day transactions with brokers and underwriters and will get good opportunities to learn the business.
Job Purpose
To provide general administration support including, maintaining records, inputting, and checking policies and providing management information back up.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with rating of accounts by analysis, interpretation, and input of underwriting information.
- Monitor and maintain bordereau reports.
- Produce reports from systems for use by the underwriters.
- Support Underwriters during underwriting hours to maximise efficiency in handling broker enquires.
- Provide Broker and Client support work for Underwriters including preparation for renewals and Client meetings.
- Monitor and Maintain workflow systems.
- Produce and maintain wordings and clauses database.
- Indexing policy documents in the Imageright database.
- Working with DUA to complete Conduct Risk analysis on each coverholder
- Liaising with Bridgend
- Reviewing and updating EPIs on a monthly basis
- Usage of SBS and PEGA systems to set up, renew and maintain contracts
- Drafting endorsements and binding authority agreements for direct contracts
- QA of data within PowerBI, including claims exceptions and risk data to ensure data accuracy
- Liaising with Finance team to arrange ad hoc payments and reconcile payments

Essential Skills and Experience Specification:
- Educated to at least A level or equivalent with good Math’s and English GCSE grades.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Good numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with data and reports.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative working style.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- A proactive and reliable approach, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- An understanding of the importance of accuracy and quality in a regulated business environment.

- Previous experience in an administrative, analytical, or office-based role.
