About the role
Ecclesiastical Insurance, who are proudly part of Benefact Group are looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join our London office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to defined service delivery by acting as part of a processing and administration team, whilst developing the skills to become a fully-fledged Underwriter.

What you'll be doing
- Manage workload effectively by planning, prioritising and delivering tasks against agreed objectives and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Process and maintain business transactions accurately, including data entry, mid-term adjustments and renewals, while identifying and correcting quality issues.
- Provide triage and operational support by assessing new business enquiries, directing cases to the appropriate team members, and liaising with brokers/business partners to resolve issues promptly.
- Build strong internal and external relationships to deliver excellent customer service, support a right-first-time approach, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement by operating within regulatory requirements, escalating risks, responding to audit findings, implementing action plans, and producing management information (MI) reports as required.

What you'll need to have
- Strong organisational and workload management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver objectives while meeting targets.
- Accurate and analytical approach to information and data, supported by competent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development, including a willingness to achieve Cert CII qualification.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, contributing to exceptional customer service and effective teamwork.
- Strong understanding of compliance and governance requirements, including regulatory obligations, data protection, confidentiality, and delivering positive customer outcomes.
