Underwriting Business Analyst

Location: London
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days)
Salary: £30,000–£40,000 + Benefits

We're supporting a highly regarded specialist MGA, backed by a leading international insurance group, as they continue to grow their underwriting operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their insurance career looking to build long-term progression within underwriting and the London Market.

You'll work alongside experienced underwriters, supporting technical underwriting processes, improving data quality and contributing to the efficient running of a specialist underwriting business.

The Role Will Involve:

  • Supporting underwriting teams with day-to-day technical operations.
  • Recording and managing underwriting referrals.
  • Producing and maintaining underwriting reports and MI.
  • Validating and reconciling data across multiple sources.
  • Supporting bordereaux and underwriting administration.
  • Working closely with underwriting, finance and operations teams.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reporting.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has:

  • Around 1–3 years' experience within insurance.
  • Experience gained within an insurer, MGA or insurance broker.
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookups and reconciliations).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive approach and genuine desire to build a career within underwriting.
  • Experience with Acturis, delegated authority, bordereaux or underwriting operations would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
