Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Underwriting Operations Analyst to join our Operations team. The role will focus on supporting non-financial Lloyd’s reporting requirements and ensuring the effective maintenance of underwriting controls.
Description
Underwriting MI
Continuously develop and enhance Atrium’s Underwriting MI & Insight capabilities via PowerBI and liaise with Syndicate Leadership Team and the Data Management team. Prepare quarterly Underwriting MI and accompanying commentary to be used for formal internal committees and groups.
Data Quality
Maintain the integrity of underwriting data by performing validation, reconciliation and quality assurance activities across underwriting systems. Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, identify root causes of reoccurring issues, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions. Contribute to the development and monitoring of control frameworks that support accurate reporting and operational effectiveness.

Non-Financial Lloyd’s & Regulatory Returns
Liaise with Atrium’s Data Management, Actuarial, Finance and Compliance Departments to produce and submit Non-Financial Lloyd’s & Regulatory Returns. Review the output of the returns with Syndicate Leadership Team and Senior Stakeholders across Atrium ensuring outputs are accurate, complete and delivered within required deadlines. Returns include, but are not limited to the PMDR, RRQ, Non-XIS, ATIA, Gareat, CIRC and TRIA.
Underwriting Controls
Monitor & maintain Underwriting Controls, including reviewing adherence to Individual Underwriting Authorities and Atrium’s suite of Premium controls. Present key findings and results on a quarterly basis to various formal internal committees, along with continuously developing and enhancing the controls through collaboration with the Group Head of Controls and Syndicate Leadership Team.
Process Improvement and Change Management
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and enhance data quality across underwriting processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting business requirements and assisting in the design and implementation of new processes, controls and automation solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration
Develop strong working relationships with underwriters, finance, claims, compliance, reserving, delegated and technology teams. Act as a liaison between operational and business teams to ensure issues are resolved effectively and operational requirements are clearly understood. Support cross-functional initiatives and contribute to a collaborative working environment that promotes continuous improvement and service excellence.
