Underwriting Service Support Role – Job Opportunity
Key Details
- Working hours: Part-time, job-share, or full-time basis
- Salary: Circa £29,000 (depending on experience) + excellent package
- Location: Fareham office (hybrid working available)

The Opportunity

What Will You Be Doing?
As a member of the Underwriting Service Support team, you’ll assist Underwriters, Brokers, and Customers throughout the end-to-end underwriting process, including face-to-face, telephone, and written communication.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with process stakeholders.
- Mentoring junior colleagues and supporting team development.
- Meeting stipulated deadlines with high-quality execution.
- Assisting the offshore team with training and onboarding.
- Independently managing assigned accounts with full responsibility.
- Calculating rates and premiums, compiling declarations, coverage forms, endorsements (national/local).
- Reviewing risk in support of underwriting decisions.
- Proactively escalating premium payment issues to Account Managers.
- Producing statistical reports and preparing underwriting recommendations.
- Monitoring cash collection and providing program overviews.
- Delivering presentations to brokers and customers.
- Ensuring data accuracy and performing quality reviews within/across teams.
- Identifying areas for continuous improvement and proposing solutions.
