Unit Catering Supervisor (Grade 3) – St Nicholas Primary School, Blackpool
Job Summary Lancashire County Council delivers catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving 60,000 school meals daily. This role—part-time (30 hours/week, term-time only, fixed-term until 31/10/2026)—involves overseeing catering operations at St Nicholas Primary School to provide high-quality, healthy meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook and serve meals/beverages in alignment with set menus and production plans
- Supervise/manage other staff (directing and organising tasks)
- oversee supply orders and storage of deliveries
- Maintain stock records and data management

Requirements
✅ Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Certified catering qualification or food hygiene certificate preferred
- Proven experience in catering for large groups (children)
Role Details
Hours & Days
- Monday–Friday (term time only)
- 30 hrs/week ≈ 6 hours/day (variable due to meal demand)
- Salary: £13.45/hour
Contract Specifics
- Fixed-term: 31/10/2026
- DBS Check Required: Due to working with young people, applicants must undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) screening.
