Unit Catering Supervisor (Grade 3)
Salary: £13.45 per hour Contract: Fixed term until 31/10/2026 Length & Type: Part-time, 30 hours per week, term time only Location: St Nicholas Primary School, Blackpool
Lancashire County Council delivers catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving 60,000+ school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join our school-based team at St Nicholas Primary School, ensuring children benefit from high-quality, healthy, and balanced meals.

- Carefully prepare and serve food, beverages, and meals according to agreed production plans and menus
- Supervise and manage other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate supplier deliveries, order required supplies, and maintain inventory
- Maintain accurate recording of stock levels and orders
What We Are Looking For
- A recognised catering qualification and/or a Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
- Experience in catering for large-scale environments (desirable)
- Ability to work calmly under pressure, especially during busy service periods
Working Conditions
- Expected hours: 30 hours per week, averaging approximately 6 hours per day (hours may vary by school meal demand)
- Routing: Monday to Friday, term time only

Additional Information
- Successful candidates must comply with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975. A DBS Disclosure check is required as part of the recruitment process.
