Customer Service Consultant – HSBC

About the Role

As a Customer Service Consultant at HSBC, you’ll deliver an outstanding service that exceeds customer expectations. Your role includes educating customers to leverage our digital platforms, raising fraud awareness, and identifying those in vulnerable situations or with complex needs to ensure financial inclusion for all.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, ambitious individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional support. While previous customer service experience is beneficial, it’s not essential—what matters most is empathy, a motivating personality, and a commitment to going above and beyond.

At HSBC, we prioritise coaching and development, offering access to our learning platform to help you grow in your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers, addressing their individual needs with ownership and excellence.
  • Educate customers on HSBC’s digital services and emphasise fraud awareness.
  • Identify and support customers in vulnerable situations, determining the best ways to assist them.
  • Address complex banking needs, ensuring customers feel supported in their choices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
