The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is offering an exceptional scholarship opportunity for international students through the International PhD Stipend and Fee Scholarship (DPHD). This prestigious award supports outstanding international students aiming to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2025. The scholarship is aligned with UniSQ’s flagship research areas, and it offers financial assistance for tuition and living expenses, while recipients contribute to cutting-edge research projects. The program is open to international students from all nationalities who are passionate about advancing their research careers in a supportive, world-class environment. Additional resources and support are available for women in STEM and students with disabilities.

- Stipend value: AUD $35,000 per annum
- Other supports: Scholarships are available for women in STEM and students with disabilities.
- Industry Internship: Minimum of 60 days for students enrolled in the Industry Stream.

- Study Course: Open to all research fields within UniSQ’s flagship areas.

- Duration: Up to 3 years of full-time study (prior study time towards the PhD will be deducted).

Eligibility
To Be Eligible For This Scholarship, Applicants Must
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree with First Class Honours or an equivalent qualification.
- Be eligible for full-time, on-campus enrollment in the UniSQ PhD program.
- Be an international student (not an Australian or New Zealand citizen, nor a permanent resident).
- Commence or continue their PhD studies in 2025.
- For continuing students, be within 18 months of commencing full-time (or 36 months part-time) by December 2024.

Selection Criteria
The Selection Process Is Merit-based, Considering The Following Factors
- Academic excellence, particularly demonstrated through your previous study program (honours degree or equivalent).
- Research potential and the relevance of your proposed PhD research to UniSQ’s flagship research areas.
- Professional and research experiences, including any publications and presentations.
- Strong recommendations from referees in your academic or professional field.
- Suitability of your preliminary research thesis topic and the potential contributions to industry, if applicable (for Industry Stream applicants).

Applicants are required to prepare and submit the following documents:
- Supervisor Support Letter.
- Curriculum Vitae (including research publications and presentations).
- Preliminary Research Thesis Topic Proposal.
- Proof of Citizenship.
- Statement of Claim addressing the selection criteria.
- Education Qualifications (testamur and transcripts for all degrees).
- For Industry Stream applicants: a Letter of Support from the industry partner.
