Unqualified Science Teacher - KS3/KS4 | Newham (INDTA)
Are you an ambitious Science specialist ready to lead classes now, while working towards qualified teacher status?
A high-performing Secondary School in Newham is seeking an Unqualified Science Teacher to join their team from September 26. This is a rare opportunity to:

This full-time role is ideal for a confident graduate, experienced tutor, or aspiring educator ready to take responsibility for lessons and accelerate towards formal teacher training.
Role Summary
- Deliver pre-planned Science lessons across KS3-KS4 (focus areas: Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learners, including SEN and EAL students
- Confidently apply behaviour management systems to maintain a conducive learning environment
- Mark work, provide feedback, and assist with basic assessment duties
- Collaborate closely with Heads of Department and mentors to refine teaching practice
- Engage in training, observation cycles, and departmental planning

Salary & Timeline
- £120 – £130 per day (full-time rate)
- Full-time commitment | Start date: September 26 – July 2027
- Potential progression to salaried teacher training / Schools Direct
Person Specification
- Strong degree in a science discipline (or related field)
- Experience collaborating with young people (through school, tutoring, or youth work) preferred
- Strong presence, clear communication, and a professional attitude
- Commitment to professional standards, reliability, and excellence in teaching
