Join Our Cleaning Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Staffordshire's dedicated Cleaning Team, working within our busy and vibrant Student Hub.
The Student Hub is at the heart of campus life, providing students with a welcoming space to socialise, study and access a range of support services. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals who take pride in their work and want to help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.
This is an opportunity to make a real difference to the student experience while working as part of a supportive and friendly team.
About The Role
As a Student Hub Cleaning Operative, you will:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the Student Hub and associated communal areas
- Ensure facilities are clean, safe and welcoming for students, staff and visitors
- Carry out a range of cleaning duties to support the day-to-day operation of the building
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent cleaning service
- Take pride in helping create a positive environment for everyone who uses the Hub

Working Patterns
We Have Opportunities Available For
Full-Time Positions
- 37 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Shift patterns:
- 6:00am – 2:00pm, or
- 12:00pm – 8:00pm
- Flexibility is required, as you will need to work both shift patterns
Part-Time Positions
- 15 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Shift patterns:
- 6:00am – 9:00am, or
- 5:00pm – 8:00pm
- Flexibility is required, as you will need to work both shift patterns
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have a positive and proactive approach to their work
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Take pride in delivering high standards of cleanliness
- Are reliable, motivated and well organised
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
