Williams Windows & Doors is an award-winning fabricator and installer of uPVC, aluminium, and composite windows and doors, based in Clydebank and serving customers across Glasgow and the West of Scotland. We manufacture all our products in-house at our Clydebank factory and supply both homeowners and trade customers across new-build, home improvement, and refurbishment projects. We hold major industry accreditations for quality, safety, and security, and we're a business that's growing — with ongoing investment in people, technology, and premises.


The Role

This position can be filled as a full-time, on-site role for an experienced uPVC Window & Door Fitter, or through a subcontracting arrangement. Based from our Clydebank factory, the role requires daily site visits to install windows and doors in residential and commercial properties across the West of Scotland.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Removing existing windows and doors, and preparing openings
  • Fitting uPVC frames, glazing, sealing, and finishing installations to a high standard
  • Checking products for defects prior to and during installation
  • Using hand and power tools safely and correctly
  • Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Completing job sheets and reporting back to the office on job completion
  • Representing Williams Windows & Doors professionally when dealing with customers on site

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a window fitter/installer (uPVC experience is essential)
  • Strong practical skills in:
    • Measuring
    • Tool use
    • Safe handling of glass and frames
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety practices, including:
    • Manual handling
    • Working at height
  • Ability to work from installation specs and job sheets
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of managing time effectively across multiple sites
  • Professional and clear communication with customers and site teams
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)

  • A relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in glazing, joinery, or construction is an advantage but not essential
