Urban Designer

URBAN DESIGNER

London Studio

JTP is an award-winning placemaking practice of architects and masterplanners.

From our studios in London and Bristol, we undertake placemaking projects at every scale, from cities and towns, to neighbourhoods, streets, and the design of individual buildings.

Our London Studio is seeking a talented and motivated Urban Designer to contribute to a number of exciting and high-profile visioning and masterplanning projects for new towns, neighbourhoods, and garden communities within the UK.

With a passion for collaboration and the creation of sustainable and biodiverse places, the ideal candidate will have solid, demonstrable experience of working on large-scale urban design and masterplanning projects across a range of residential densities, and will be familiar with the progression of projects from vision development and masterplanning through to the preparation of design codes, regulatory plans, and detailed neighbourhood layouts.

The successful candidate will be a confident and proactive urban designer with a proven ability to play a meaningful role within project teams and in building positive relationships with clients, consultants, and local communities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
